Defence Secretary Wes Streeting Says He's Stockpiling Food

UK Government, OGL v3, via GOV.UK/Wikimedia Commons

Defence Secretary Wes Streeting says he began stockpiling food and water weeks ago in case of a national emergency. He told the Times he keeps baked beans, sweetcorn, kidney beans, tuna, protein bars and nuts, plus bottled water, a first aid kit and a torch. He wants to lead by example after the government's Be Ready campaign urged households to keep three days of supplies.
