'Dear Italy, we'd like to apply' - Iran trolls US after Trump-Meloni row
X
Iran's Embassy in Ghana went viral with a satirical post pitching itself as Italy's new ally after PM Giorgia Meloni condemned Trump's attack on Pope Leo XIV. The embassy offered '7,000 years of civilisation' and 'food that takes longer than Trump's attention span,' joking Iran and Italy have been in a 'cold war' for 2,000 years over who invented ice cream.
