Cornwall's new lithium plant will create 130 jobs by 2029
Geothermal Engineering Limited intends to commit approximately £43m towards a lithium extraction plant in Cornwall. The new facility is projected to generate almost 50 immediate employment opportunities and sustain approximately 80 additional roles within the supply chain. It will produce about 1,500 tonnes of lithium carbonate annually, enough to power over 180,000 electric car batteries.
