Congo Ebola outbreak now a global health concern
The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda now poses a significant risk to public health globally. The World Health Organization declared it a public health emergency of international concern on Sunday, originating in Ituri province. This Bundibugyo virus strain has led to around 246 suspected cases and 80 deaths, including two confirmed cases in Uganda.
