Cody Lowndes, 27, died on M56 after fleeing police, family pays tribute

His family reported that Lowndes had been improving his life since finding purpose through his baby daughter. Greater Manchester Police said officers stopped him on a motorbike near Stockport on Saturday, and he ran across the motorway and was hit by another vehicle. The Independent Office for Police Conduct, the police watchdog, is now running an independent investigation into the case.
