Clearlake Capital nearing deal to buy out Chelsea co-owners for £5bn
Chelsea's majority owners, Clearlake Capital, are nearing an agreement to acquire the stakes held by co-owners Todd Boehly and Mark Walter, a deal that would value the club at approximately £5bn. Walter is selling his stake to raise funds to pay insurers following a US tax fraud investigation. Boehly, a long-term investment partner of Walter, is also expected to sell his share.
