Chinese tycoon Guo Wengui gets 30 years for fraud
After swindling over a billion dollars from countless individuals, Chinese magnate Guo Wengui, who is in exile, received a 30-year sentence in a United States prison on Monday. He was convicted by a jury on counts such as electronic fraud and illicit financial transactions, and the judge commented that he exploited individuals who aspired to a democratic China. Guo, who denied the allegations, must also forfeit $889 million.
