Chiltern Railways is now the 10th rail company under Great British Railways
Chiltern Railways has become the tenth rail operator to fall under the Great British Railways scheme, a government initiative designed to achieve financial savings and enhance service quality. From December, the company will introduce an additional 25 daily services, creating 10,000 more seats, following its transition to government control. Half-hourly weekday trains are among these, operating along the Chiltern Main Line, which connects London and Birmingham.
