Children report rise in explicit deepfakes of themselves

A UK safety watchdog has warned that AI is making it easier to produce explicit deepfake images, with reports already exceeding last year's total. Report Remove, a service operated by the Internet Watch Foundation and NSPCC, had 420 reports submitted by children during the initial half of this year. Tech companies are being urged to add stronger safety protections to their AI products.
