Child and two women die in English Channel dinghy incident on Monday
Three people died and several others were hurt after a migrant boat got into trouble off the French coast near Calais on Monday morning. French authorities said a 10-year-old child and two 30-year-old women were among the dead, likely from "crushing" on the crowded boat. Following the incident, Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood requested an immediate examination by the Border Security Command.
