CD sales revenue up 58% in first half of 2026
Revenue from CDs reached $171.1 million in the first half of 2026, marking a 58.6% rise compared to the same period last year. CD growth comes as younger people are buying more simple tech like "dumbphones" and digital cameras. Physical media revenue, encompassing vinyl, also climbed by 25.9% to $731.5 million, according to a report from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
