An ancient cave art discovery suggests the first known humans arrived in Ireland from Wales at least 15,000 years ago. Dr George Nash, a rock expert, led an international team who found eight cave sites in south-west Ireland with the art. The discovery pushes back the earliest evidence of humans in Ireland by about 5,000 years, due to a past land bridge.
