Carrefour boss Alexandre Bompard says 50 of the group's stores, including 19 Carrefour supermarkets and convenience shops, were targeted during Saturday's riots in France. He estimated repairs at well over ten million euros and said dozens of franchise workers face short-time working. Around 1,500 businesses were damaged nationwide, with retailers warning losses could reach hundreds of millions of euros and calling for faster insurance payouts.
