Canva, the Australian design software firm, is cutting about 22% of its staff after experiencing its first decade-long period of decelerated growth. Chief executive Melanie Perkins announced it on 4 November, though some of the 1,271 affected staff will be moved or relocated instead. Leavers also get 12 months of health cover where offered, plus $10,000 grants to start businesses, with no equity taken.
