Canada puts counter-tariffs on US goods as trade deal talks collapse

Canada has started applying counter-tariffs on nearly C$28bn of US products, from steel to furniture. Prime Minister Mark Carney said Canada wants a "durable" deal when the US is ready. US trade representative Jamieson Greer says the ball is in Canada's court, with economists warning tariffs will increase prices for everyday items.
