Burnham's plan to link care jobs to NHS standards by 2028

A ministerial team led by Yvette Cooper and Angela Rayner will look into improving conditions for care workers. Andy Burnham wants to boost training and job security so young staff can eventually move into health service roles. He hopes to build on a wage agreement introduced by Prime Minister Keir Starmer that starts in 2028-29.
