Brits doubt university value amid debt and job fears
Many people in the UK are losing faith in university degrees, mainly due to concerns about student debt and worries over future job prospects. A British Social Attitudes survey found 34% now think university isn't worth it, a big jump from 15% in 2005. A total of 700,000 graduates are presently out of work and receiving state assistance, a figure 200,000 higher than in 2019.
