British troops practice defending NATO ally

British forces recently simulated reinforcing a NATO ally facing invasion, conducting the UK's largest military parachute jump in over ten years. This training on March 30 saw 270 soldiers from 16 Air Assault Brigade jump from RAF A400M aircraft over Salisbury Plain. The UK also leads NATO's Allied Reaction Force, which practiced deployment in early 2025's Exercise Steadfast Dart.
