British tourist paid £1,480 for beach kebab

Tourists visiting Rio de Janeiro’s beaches are being targeted by scammers manipulating payment terminals. A man was detained on Tuesday on Copacabana beach after selling a kebab to a British tourist for £1,480. The victim was overcharged significantly, paying 10,000 reais when the actual cost was just 10 reais (£1.50).
