British national pride falls to 47% since 2011, poll finds
Fewer than half of individuals now express national pride in being British, a considerable decrease from 74% recorded in 2011. Demos, a think tank, observed a decline in trust towards national institutions, with confidence in Parliament and the BBC each dropping to -11%. Conversely, over the identical timeframe, the sense of attachment to local communities rose from 29% to 40%.
