British AI startups get £100m shot at government contracts

British AI startups can compete for government contracts worth up to £10 million each under a £100 million scheme Chancellor Healey launched at the G20. The four challenges cover NHS paperwork and clinical decisions, cheaper AI computing, frontier AI for defence, and stress testing AI agents. Winners keep their intellectual property and can be paid upfront, terms meant to open doors to small firms.
