Britain spends nearly $40 million on Elon Musk's military satellite network

The Ministry of Defence has bought about 1,000 terminals for Starshield, a highly secure network built specifically for governments. Commanders moved their frontline communications over to this more expensive setup because SpaceX restricted regular Starlink connections to civilian tasks. This makes the UK the first nation outside America to publicly confirm it uses the new military technology.
