Brit baby, 1, dies after being found in hotel pool

The one-year-old was found in a hotel pool in the Canary Islands, and medics battled for days to save her. She was pulled from the Fuerteventura hotel pool on June 15, then airlifted to a Gran Canaria hospital in critical condition. Doctors said the baby suffered 'irreversible neurological damage' which made her recovery impossible.
