Brighton plans new traffic cameras to enforce five road rules
Brighton & Hove City Council is asking residents for their views on proposals to install enforcement cameras at five busy junctions. The council received new Moving Traffic Enforcement powers from the Department for Transport late last year, allowing them to use camera technology. Drivers caught ignoring existing restrictions could get a £70 Penalty Charge Notice, with a six-month warning period initially.
