Brentwood councillors narrowly backed 220-acre solar farm plans by a single vote

Plans for a massive solar farm and battery storage facility at Fitzwalter's Farm have been given the go-ahead. The Brentwood Borough Council's planning committee approved the scheme by a single vote. Luminous Energy says it will power 23,410 homes a year.
