Boomtown festival powers its main stage with UK-produced green hydrogen

Boomtown festival is the first UK festival to have its main stage fully run on green hydrogen, creating electricity via fuel cells and special batteries. Organisers stated that the generators yield only water and heat as by-products, thereby eliminating carbon emissions, fumes, or loud diesel noise. The HydroXL stage, which opened on Friday, can hold up to 20,000 people.
