Over 40 UK retailers will offer 100,000 temporary positions to unemployed young people over the next three years. The "Opening Shift" scheme provides two to four-week placements for 18-24 year olds to gain skills. Participants will continue to receive universal credit and are guaranteed an interview after their placement.
