Bentley launches first fully electric car, with fake engine sounds to replace classic growl
Bentley has launched its first fully electric car, an SUV called the Torcal, with production scheduled for its Crewe factory. The luxury carmaker invested £350m in its UK business, securing 4,000 jobs at the Cheshire site. The Torcal starts at £173,000 and features a synthetic engine noise made from drum recordings to replace the traditional growl.
