Bayeux Tapestry opens to public at British Museum today

The 70-metre-long tapestry, a woven record of the Norman conquest, has returned to British soil after nearly a millennium. It is being lent until September 2027, following a specific accord reached by the UK, France, and the British Museum. Entry to the exhibition is fully booked until additional tickets become available on October 21.
