Murder arrest after Wakefield dog attack death

A 55-year-old man died after being bitten by a dog during an altercation on a footpath near Blacker Lane in Wakefield on Saturday evening. West Yorkshire Police arrested a 55-year-old man on suspicion of murder and of owning a dog dangerously out of control causing injury. Officers seized the dog and are appealing for two women who helped the injured man to come forward.
