At least 25 killed as bus falls off Cape Verde cliff
Late on Saturday, a bus transporting schoolchildren fell approximately 30 metres down a steep ravine on Fogo, an island in Cape Verde. Most of those killed were teenagers and students; the driver, who privately arranged the annual trip, also died. Following the accident, Cape Verdean President José Maria Pereira Neves announced a two-day period of national mourning.
