Asylum seekers run shops using fake directors
A BBC undercover investigation filmed a crime fixer offering to help erase fines of up to £60,000 for employing illegal workers. The network operated through fake directors registering mini-marts while asylum seekers ran the businesses. Ghost names were paid to take responsibility for large fines, with an English woman in the network helping reduce penalties to zero and dealing with official enforcement issues.
