Apple produces 55 million iPhones in India, 25% global total.
Apple is accelerating the shift of its iPhone manufacturing from China to India as geopolitical tensions and trade risks rise. India assembled about 55 million iPhones in 2025, a 53% increase from 2024, accounting for roughly 25% of Apple’s global production. The move is driven by tariffs, supply-chain diversification and government incentives in India. Apple still relies heavily on China but is rapidly expanding partnerships with suppliers like Foxconn and Tata Group to scale Indian manufacturing.
