Apple Maps renames Lake Ontario to Lake America for US users

Apple has changed the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America on its Maps app for users in the US, following an order from President Donald Trump. The renaming is part of Washington's ongoing trade dispute with Canada, which saw new 50% tariffs imposed on Canadian goods. Canada has responded with its own counter-tariffs, and Prime Minister Mark Carney's office called US demands unacceptable.
