Apple Hits $5 Trillion While Sitting Out the AI Infrastructure Race
The tech giant passed chip-maker Nvidia, the only other business to reach the milestone, to take the global top spot in July. Investors have backed the firm for keeping phone costs flat and avoiding the hugely expensive artificial intelligence race that is draining its rivals. Instead of building its own systems, Apple is using Google software to run its updated Siri assistant.
