Anthropic launches Fable 5.1 with cheaper cached prompts
Anthropic has released Claude Fable 5.1 and Mythos 5.1, its top tier AI models, keeping input and output prices unchanged while cutting the cost of reading cached context to a quarter. The company says typical workloads become about 25% cheaper, rising to roughly 45% for heavily agentic tasks. The models handle a million tokens of context and target long running coding and research.
