Anthropic bans 'cruel behaviour' towards its chatbot Claude

Anthropic has updated its usage policy to stop people being abusive or cruel to its AI chatbot, Claude, in extreme cases. The company says it will mainly enforce this by having Claude end conversations with persistently harmful users. The new rules also ban using Claude for election interference, weapons development, or surveillance.
