Amber heat alerts issued as England braces for 34C today

The UK Health Security Agency issued amber heat alerts for London, the South East, the East of England and the East Midlands on Monday. Yellow alerts cover the North West, South West, Yorkshire and the West Midlands until Wednesday morning. The Met Office forecasts highs of 34C, and UKHSA warns of increased health risks for people over 65 or with heart conditions.
