Amazon invests in Maryland nuclear plant for 20 years

Constellation and Amazon have signed a 20-year deal to expand Maryland's only nuclear plant, Calvert Cliffs, adding 190 megawatts of new clean energy capacity. The agreement will bring over $3 billion in infrastructure investment to Maryland, with new infrastructure becoming operational between 2030 and 2032. The deal also assists Constellation in securing a further 20-year licence for the plant.
