Ailing Djokovic loses US Open first round for first time in 20 years

Novak Djokovic was defeated by Mariano Navone in the US Open first round on Monday, his earliest Grand Slam exit in two decades. The 39-year-old tennis star struggled physically throughout the four-and-a-half-hour match, vomiting multiple times and battling cramps. Djokovic said he has been carrying a health condition this year that is worsened by heat and humidity.
