ADHD pill left man violently ill and needing resuscitation
In 2010, Ryan Swain, 36, who lives in Malton, required hospital treatment for a few months after consuming atomoxetine, also known as Strattera. Doctors described his reaction as a "violent allergic reaction" that caused projectile vomiting and a ruptured stomach lining. Mr Swain, then 20, reported that his heart stopped momentarily, necessitating resuscitation.
