Colombia asks Trump to suspend tariffs after deadly earthquake

Colombia's new president has asked Donald Trump to temporarily stop US tariffs on its goods after a 7.4-magnitude earthquake killed at least 294 people. President Abelardo de la Espriella said on Saturday that he had a "very friendly" 10-minute call with Trump. The US is Colombia's biggest export market, and tariffs on most Colombian products rose to 12.5% in late July.
