Ferrari's first ever electric car sold for record $40m

The Ferrari Luce, the brand's first electric vehicle, fetched $40 million at a charity auction, setting a new record for a new car sold publicly. The custom Luce, designed by Sir Jony Ive, raised over 35 times its usual price at the RM Sotheby's event in California. All proceeds from the sale will go to the Ferrari Foundation's educational programmes.
