UK launches free air pollution alerts via text, email.

Free emails or texts are now available for people throughout the UK, providing alerts about high air pollution levels in their local vicinity. The new opt-in system lets you pick a location, like your home or workplace, and get an alert when pollution is forecast to be high. Environment Secretary Dame Angela Eagle said it will help people protect their health.
