Buyers now have more electric car choices, yet official targets remain out of reach. UK new car registrations climbed 11.4% in June to 213,166 vehicles, while battery electric models made up a record 30% of monthly sales, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. So far this year, electric vehicles account for 25% of registrations, below the 33% annual target.
