Hollywood studios agree AI copyright deal with ByteDance

The Motion Picture Association, representing major Hollywood studios, has reached its first agreement with an AI company, ByteDance. The deal follows legal threats in February over ByteDance's AI video and image tools, which were accused of using copyrighted material without permission. ByteDance has now strengthened copyright protections in its Seedance and Seedream tools, which create videos and images from text.
