Newcastle complete £30m signing of defender Amar Dedic from Benfica

The Bosnian international, who turned 24 on Tuesday, has joined on a five-year deal after a medical on Tyneside on Monday. Dedic reunites with head coach Matthias Jaissle, having won the Austrian title together at Red Bull Salzburg in 2023. He could feature in Newcastle's season opener against Liverpool on Sunday, with Tino Livramento recovering from injury.
