Trump administration pays £945 million to end wind farms

America's Trump administration settled to cancel offshore wind projects, paying German company RWE about £945 million to give up leases. RWE will then spend around £709 million to buy part of a natural gas project in Louisiana. The stake is from Stonespeak, a private equity firm run by Michael Dorrell, a billionaire neighbour of Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate.
