Eurostar has been the only company offering direct passenger services from London through the Channel Tunnel for three decades. Italy's state-owned railway, FS Group, is currently leading the race to launch its London to Paris route by 2029. Virgin Trains also plans to start services to Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam in 2030, after getting UK track access last week.
