UK government closes scam whisky firm that took £97,000 from customers

The High Court in London ordered the closure of Cask Spirits Global on Tuesday 25 August, following complaints from customers who had paid for whisky casks they never received. The Insolvency Service, part of the British Government, found only 4 of 17 customers investigated had valid ownership documents. The company also used high-pressure sales tactics and failed to provide 27 of 29 requested accounting documents.
